SFLR creates a system of support for African American and rural forest owners that significantly increases the value of forests, land retention, and asset development for rural families in the U.S. South.

The 2026 Landowners Conference gathered landowners together in a shared space for learning, reflection, and connection. Over the course of three days, participants experienced meaningful opportunities for peer learning, engaging dialogue, and intentional community building, all grounded in sustaining land, legacy, and resilience across generations.
